The Opportunity

The Quality Team Lead supports the Quality organization by ensuring products and processes consistently meet established quality standards, customer requirements, and company expectations. This role leads day-to-day quality activities, including data analysis, inspections, audits, nonconformance identification, root cause analysis, and corrective actions. The Quality Team Lead works closely with Production, Engineering, and other departments to identify opportunities for improvement, resolve quality issues, and strengthen processes.

The position also assists with developing and maintaining quality policies, procedures, work instructions, and training materials while providing guidance and support to team members. The Quality Team Lead leads by example, promotes a strong culture of quality and safety, and builds positive working relationships across all levels of the organization. This role requires strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.

What you will do?
  • Analyze data to identify areas of improvement and provide training as needed.
  • Conduct audits or inspections to identify nonconformance and implement corrective measures.
  • Collaborate with peers on new policy, procedure, and work instruction recommendations since they may affect others.
  • Identify root cause defects and implement changes to correct and eliminate errors.
  • Provide recommendations to the Quality Director for Quality policies, procedures, work instructions, and forms.
  • Address issues to ensure quality standards are upheld.
  • Assist with training of team members on quality processes.
  • Build a positive rapport with employees at all levels of the organization; communicate with team members to solve problems.
  • Act in a manner of integrity that shows support for the company, its core values, and other associates while maintaining a constant focus on meeting/exceeding customer requirements and expectations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of tools, methods, and concepts of quality assurance.
  • Lead by example to include strong work ethic, excellent interpersonal skills, can do attitude, great attendance, and excellent quality & safety awareness.
  • Proven work experience in quality assurance or similar field.
  • A bachelor's degree in related field; equivalent experience may be acceptable in lieu of degree.
  • Commitment to the concept of continual improvement, effective quality management systems and safe work practices.
  • Excellent data collection and analysis skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, prioritization, and time management skills.
  • Understanding the production and work order process.
  • Knowledge of company policies, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Physical fitness and strength to regularly lift 30-50 lbs.
  • Regularly required to stand, bend, crouch and reach.
  • Must be able to work outside normal business hours/days as needed.
  • May require travel up to 20%.
