Job Description Summary
The Quality Systems/ISO Rep will be responsible for ensuring compliance with aerospace quality standards like AS9100 by implementing and maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS). Key duties involve conducting internal audits, coordinating external audits, managing non-conformities and corrective actions, overseeing documentation, and serving as a liaison for quality-related issues with management, staff, suppliers, and customers. The QS/ISO Rep will also play a critical role in upholding GE Aerospace's commitment to Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) and align with FLIGHT DECK fundamentals.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Quality Management System (QMS): Ensure the QMS is established, implemented, and continually improved to meet aerospace standards, such as AS9100, AS9110, AS13100, S-1000, etc.
  • Auditing and compliance: Manage and maintain the internal audit program at the site level, including planning, and conducting internal audits to check for compliance and effectiveness. Act as the main point of contact for external auditors, customers, and regulatory bodies, including coordination of external audits for the site.
  • Documentation control: Ensure that local procedures, work instructions, and records are properly controlled and consistently maintained.
  • Corrective and preventive actions (CAPA): Manage the process for identifying, documenting, and resolving non-conformities, and implement preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
  • Management of Change (MOC): Responsible for site MOC process
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives using FLIGHT DECK methodologies, and root cause analysis.
  • Reporting and communication: Act as the main point of contact for the QMS, liaising between top management, employees, and external parties like customers and suppliers. Report on the performance of the QMS to top management. Promote awareness of quality throughout the organization.
  • Training: Develop and deliver training to employees on quality system requirements and related procedures. Lead site-wide improvements to the training system and culture (e.g. implementation of Covalent).
  • Risk Management: Identify and assess risks within the quality system and manufacturing/shop floor processes.


Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years Quality Systems and/or Production Quality experience)
  • Minimum of 5 years Quality Systems and/or Production Quality experience
