Job Description Summary
The Lafayette Engine Facility (LEF) Quality Systems ISO Leader reports to the Site Quality Leader and works in a self-directed teaming structure. This role is responsible for managing and improving capability to comply with internal and external standards and regulations supporting PC-108 The QS/ ISO Leader has unrestricted access to top management to resolve quality management issues and is responsible for site Quality System documentation and compliance to the Quality System requirements.

This job is expected to be an individual contributor role with direct feedback from Site Quality Leader while collaborating cross functionally with all team members. The QS/ISO Leader will provide guidance and create/execute strategies that further LEF's quality priorities.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Ensure safe practices are used in compliance with all government and GE Aerospace regulations.
  • Own overall administration of the quality system, including implementation and maintenance to regulatory requirements and standards. This includes ownership of some processes.
  • Responsible for facilitating and upholding Quality System requirements, ensuring all activities are executed in full alignment with documented standards and regulatory expectations.
  • Lead continuous internal and external audit readiness efforts.
  • Manages Audit Management System as well as implements and monitors corrective actions for completion and continued effectiveness.
  • Coordinate implementation of corrective and preventive action while ensuring effectiveness over time.
  • Partner with individual shop program teams to support continuous improvement efforts based on opportunities identified through daily management and quality health indicators.
  • The role operates with some autonomy but will also require cross-functional collaboration with subject matter experts inside and outside of the shop.
  • Coach shop on compliant handling of complex quality issues.
  • Become site focal driving APQP progression.
  • Work closely with the Safety Management System (SMS) Leader on quality strategy related to both the Quality System and SMS requirements.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (Or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Quality)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Quality Management
