Full Job Description
1st Shift, Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm

As the Quality & Safety Manager, you will lead the site's Quality Management System (QMS) and Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) programs to ensure operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and a safe working environment for all employees. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality and safety processes that support business objectives, customer requirements, and continuous improvement initiatives.

In this role, you will serve as the site subject matter expert for quality and safety, partnering with operations leadership to drive compliance, reduce risk, improve performance, and foster a culture of accountability and engagement. You will oversee audits, investigations, corrective actions, employee training, and performance reporting while promoting customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

The annual salary range for this role is $88,151-$110,189/Year. GXO, in good faith, believes this is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in California. This rate may be modified in the future. What You'll Do on a Typical Day

Quality Management
  • Manage and maintain the site's Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with documented policies, procedures, and ISO standards.
  • Monitor QMS performance, identify improvement opportunities, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
  • Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) activities and ensure the development and implementation of effective Corrective Action Plans (CAPs).
  • Manage customer quality concerns, Corrective Action Requests (CARs), and maintain productive customer relationships.
  • Conduct internal audits and follow-up activities to verify the effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Investigate operational processes and performance issues to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Support plant operations in identifying and implementing Lean process improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate training programs to ensure compliance with quality requirements and operational procedures.
  • Direct and prioritize maintenance-related activities as applicable to support operational and quality objectives.


Safety Management
  • Develop, implement, update, and maintain safety and health programs, policies, and procedures in compliance with company policies and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Serve as the site subject matter expert for OSHA compliance and safety-related matters.
  • Conduct risk assessments, job hazard analyses, and process reviews to identify and mitigate workplace hazards.
  • Lead incident investigations and ensure accurate documentation, reporting, root cause determination, and corrective action implementation.
  • Conduct safety audits and compliance inspections to verify adherence to regulatory and company requirements.
  • Develop and deliver safety training programs to promote employee awareness, engagement, and safe work practices.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report safety performance metrics, including leading and lagging indicators, and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Drive initiatives that strengthen the site's safety culture and reduce workplace incidents.


Leadership & Continuous Improvement
  • Lead, coach, and develop team members while fostering a culture of accountability, quality, and safety.
  • Coordinate cross-functional activities to ensure effective use of resources and achievement of operational goals.
  • Analyze quality and safety data, develop key performance indicators (KPIs), and prepare reports for site and senior leadership.
  • Promote customer, regulatory, and company requirements throughout the organization.
  • Ensure all quality and safety records are maintained accurately and in accordance with established standards.
  • Support corporate quality and safety initiatives and travel as needed to support business objectives.


What You Need to Succeed at GXO

At a Minimum, You'll Need
  • 4 years of experience managing quality, safety, or compliance programs in a warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or industrial environment.
  • Experience with safety audits, incident investigations, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience in an ISO-certified environment and Quality Management Systems.
  • Supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Experience reporting and analyzing quality and safety metrics.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including intermediate to advanced Excel skills.


It'd Be Great If You Also Have
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Safety Sciences, Engineering, Quality Management, Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience leading quality and safety programs in a warehouse, manufacturing, or industrial environment.
  • Professional certifications such as OSHA, CSP, ASP, Six Sigma, Lean, or ISO Lead Auditor.
  • Membership in a nationally recognized safety or quality organization.
  • Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management software.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, ISO 9001 standards, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Availability to travel up to 25% as business needs require.
