Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead a team as a crucial member in revenue management
  • Review customer contracts to identify revenue recognition impacts
  • Analyze and calculate revenue accruals during month-end financial close
  • Investigate and resolve revenue variances during financial close
  • Partner cross-functionally to assess implications of customer negotiations
  • Perform ad hoc reporting to support stakeholders in a cross-functional environment
  • Ensure effective internal controls over Revenue Accounting processes
  • Drive automation, standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Develop and monitor KPIs for ongoing enhancement

Full Job Description
As the Revenue Manager you will be responsible for overseeing and analyzing revenue, guiding Revenue analysts, and partnering with key stakeholders to achieve business objectives. In this role, you will be able to positively affect GXO's future through advice and counsel while creating long-term success for the Company and your career.

What you'll do on a typical day:
  • Manage and be a key member of a team covering, but not limited to, the following:
  • Review customer contracts to identify terms that impact revenue recognition, lease accounting, etc.
  • Analyze and calculate revenue accruals during the monthly financial close process
  • Analyze revenue, investigate, and resolve variances during the monthly financial close process
  • Perform and review general ledger account reconciliations
  • Partner cross functionally to understand the implications of customer negotiations
  • Perform ad hoc reporting to support multiple stakeholders in a cross functional matrix environment
  • Perform and ensure key internal controls over the Revenue Accounting process are in place and function effectively
  • Drive automation, standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Develop and monitor meaningful KPIs that drive continuous improvement
  • Other duties, as assigned


What you need to succeed at GXO:

At a minimum, you'll need:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • 5 years relevant accounting experience, including public accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including ASC 606 and ASC 842
  • Experience performing month-end close procedures
  • Experience supporting SOX environments and external audits
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

It'd be great if you also have:
  • CPA license
  • 8 years of experience, including public accounting experience
  • Experience managing and developing people
  • Experience with ERP systems including Oracle Fusion, Microsoft Power BI, Blackline, and Copilot
  • Experience in the logistics industry
