Full Job Description
The Quality Manager leads quality assurance and compliance activities for the Cedarburg manufacturing facility. This role manages quality personnel, maintains effective quality systems, supports regulatory and customer requirements, and partners with cross-functional teams to improve product quality, reliability, and operational performance.

Quality Leadership and Systems
  • Lead and develop Quality Technicians while promoting a proactive quality culture focused on clear expectations, compliance, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and maintain quality objectives, procedures, forms, and reporting methods.
  • Analyze statistical data, product specifications, and performance trends to establish quality and reliability standards, sampling plans, and reporting methods.
Nonconformance and Corrective Action
  • Manage the identification, documentation, containment, disposition, and closure of nonconforming material while maintaining accurate Nonconformance Request and Material Review Board records and protecting data integrity.
  • Lead cross-functional root-cause investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions for internal, customer, and supplier quality issues, including containment and follow-up.
  • Assess the cost, risk, and ownership associated with discrepant material and defective or damaged parts.
Inspection, Metrology, and Calibration
  • Ensure inspection and dimensional verification activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, visual criteria, and documentation practices using appropriate measurement equipment.
  • Maintain reliable measurement systems by coordinating calibration services, operating instructions, repairs, Gage R&R studies, and required records.
  • Ensure quality equipment and work areas remain safe, clean, and orderly (6S).
Compliance and Cross-Functional Support
  • Support third-party certifications, customer requirements, and applicable packaging and labeling standards.
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and other functions to resolve production, process, and supplier issues; improve reliability; and reduce cost.
  • Communicate technical and quality information clearly to employees, leaders, suppliers, customers, and auditors, and perform other quality-related duties as assigned.


Requirements

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality, manufacturing, or a related field.
• Five years of manufacturing quality experience, including coordinating or leading quality activities.
• Knowledge of inspection, root-cause analysis, corrective action, nonconformance control, calibration, and measurement systems.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
• Working knowledge of coordinate measuring machines and basic programming.
• Strong critical-thinking, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to safety, continuous learning, and company policies.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with ISO 9001 or a comparable quality management system.
  • Experience with CAPA, 8D, SPC, MSA, supplier quality, or lean manufacturing methods.
  • Quality certification such as ASQ Certified Quality Engineer or Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence.
