Full Job Description
The Quality Manager is responsible to manage all functions of the assigned unit. Oversight of Quality Inspection Staff and product assurance activities to assure that the dimensional, material and visual characteristics of the product's design, as documented on customer's drawing, specifications and quality standards are consistently met and that products of acceptable quality are all that are sent to the customer. This position is located at 6457 Fly Rd, East Syracuse, NY 13057.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Supervises through effective selection, training and evaluation of members and through effective delegation and follow up tasks.
  • Enforces departmental policies and ensures procedures are always being followed.
  • Schedules and assigns work within the unit to regulate workflow and meet required schedules.
  • Provide technical assistance and work with inspector(s) on daily questions or issues that arise from general daily activities.
  • Required to interact with inspectors, operators, customers and management on quality related concerns from the manufacturing area effecting product compliance, corrective and preventative actions.
  • Familiarity with FMEA, C&E Matrix, Detail Process and Value Stream Mapping, Root Cause Analysis and Error Proofing tools.
  • Working knowledge of industry specifications and acceptance criteria
  • Aid in training associates in inspection department on specific work procedures. Maintain knowledge of factory orders status daily and ensure on-time delivery.
  • Coordinate inspection as required and perform in house self-release source activities as required.
  • Control daily defect sheets and ensure that data is inputted into SPC database accurately and completely. Coordinate defect escape prevention activities with QE and Process Engineering for all production and inspection departments.
  • All other assigned duties as required within the quality organization.


Essential Knowledge and Skills:
  • Proven analytical and problem solving skills, including statistical data analysis and interpretation, as well as the ability to develop, implement, and drive improvement plans and project teams to successful completion.
  • Strong background in the use and understanding of key manufacturing performance metrics.
  • Strong communication, planning, organizational and leadership skills.
  • Good English skills and ability to read, write and communicate clearly.
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Work up to 10 hours a day, 5 days a week and is flexible to work weekends.
  • Due to ITAR requirements, applicants must be a U.S. Citizen or a Permanent Resident.
  • Regular attendance is an essential job function of this position.


Education and Experience:
  • 6+ years' experience in Quality/Technical field and 6+ years' experience in manufacturing, engineering or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is desired. Previous experience in a supervisory role.
  • Experience with, and a demonstrated understanding of Six Sigma is a plus.

Compensation ranges for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At TTM Technologies, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on each individual set of circumstances. A reasonable estimate of the current range is:
$101,361 - $178,255

Additional compensation: An annual or quarterly company bonus may apply based on position assignment. Positions hired for alternative shift may be eligible for a shift premium based on the assigned shift and location.

Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and all applicable laws including ITAR, EAR and OFAC including but not limited to: a) being able to identify ITAR product on the manufacturing floor and understand that access to these products and related technical data is restricted to only US Citizens and US Permanent Residents; b) recognition of Foreign Person visitors by badge differentiation; c) understand and follow authorization procedures for bringing foreign visitors into facilities (VAL); d) understand the Export and ITAR requirements for shipments leaving the US; e) manage vendor approvals for ITAR manufacturing and services.
