Full Job Description
Position Summary

We are seeking a Quality Manager that will work closely with the Plant Manager to lead the Quality Control Department to assure products meet or exceed customer specifications. Scope of work involves visual functional and dimensional inspection of finished product to assure meeting established internal and external standards.

Position Responsibilities
  • Maintains strong customer relations and ensures high-quality customer service by effectively addressing and resolving quality concerns.
  • Establishes and maintains the Quality Management System.
  • Maintains Operation Specification Documentation System and Calibration System.
  • Leads the team to assure compliance with external certifications.
  • Follows the schedule established by Production Control, Manufacturing Work Orders, and drawings. Plans and coordinates the sequencing and timing of finished part inspections. Assess the number of inspectors needed to complete inspections in accordance with product requirements.
  • Directly supervises Quality employees providing on-the-job training to employees, assigning work, offering functional guidance, and conducting reviews of work performance on a continuous basis.
  • Follows established Quality Assurance Standards and Inspection procedures to conduct visual inspections of finished parts to identify defects.
  • Initiates requests for, documents, and follows up on corrective actions.
  • Handles non-conforming product.
  • Carries out supplier quality surveys and audits and monitors supplier performance.
  • Responds to customer quality surveys and supervises customer quality audits.
  • Directs contacts with all commercial and government agency inspectors.
  • Maintains written and verbal communication with customers and suppliers regarding quality-related matters.
  • Reviews customer documentation identify and address quality-related issues.
  • Ensures that all Sensience policies and procedures, including those related to employment, safety, employee relations, equal opportunity, and other company-sponsored programs, are effectively communicated to and adhered to by all employees.
  • Understand, follow, promote and enforce all company policies and safe work practices.
  • Immediately report any unsafe acts, conditions, or accidents to their supervisor.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Quality, Engineering or related discipline and a minimum of five (5) years' manufacturing quality assurance experience or equivalent.
  • Previous supervision and customer contact experience preferred.
  • Leadership experience and interpersonal skills.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Judgement and decision-making capability.
  • Organizing and planning capabilities.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office or equivalent productivity suites currently in use by the Company.
