The Role

Are you experienced in quality management within automotive manufacturing? Do you have a strong understanding of IATF 16949, VDA, and OEM quality system requirements? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you.

We are looking for a Quality Manager to join our team, reporting to the General Manager, to lead quality initiatives and compliance within our fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment.

You will manage and lead all quality department activities to support compliance with IATF 16949 and VDA standards while ensuring the organization meets and exceeds customer quality requirements across our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and maintain quality policies, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Ensure compliance with customer requirements and manage related KPIs and improvement actions.
  • Act as company representative for product safety compliance.
  • Lead quality initiatives, including APQP activities, product and process design reviews.
  • Conduct internal quality system audits and support continual improvement activities.
  • Lead cross-functional problem-solving, 8D responses, and corrective actions.
  • Analyze quality system data to drive cost reduction and process improvement.
  • Monitor customer scorecards and address performance issues across facilities.
  • Support and participate in customer and internal audits.
  • Oversee customer actions to ensure timely and proper responses.
  • Other assigned duties.

We are a privately-owned auto-parts manufacturer based in Ontario, Canada, that supplies the global OE auto-parts industry from plants in Ontario, Canada and through an alliance partnership in Shanghai, China. The Person
  • 5 to 10 years of Quality Management experience in automotive manufacturing organization, at a Tier 1 and 2 level.
  • Extensive automotive stamping, welding and high-volume assembly manufacturing environment.
  • High Level of Understanding in Quality Assurance systems in a manufacturing environment. Specifically, IATF 16949 and VDA standard. EMS/ISO14001 Knowledge would be an asset.
  • Strong understanding of OEM Quality System Requirements and Customer Requirements management.
  • High level understanding of APQP processes, Automotive Core Tools, and development of products and processes.
  • Proven track record in Continual Improvement management and understanding of supporting methodologies.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, in a hands on and team-work management style approach.
  • Must be able to have flexible hours to support all shifts.
  • Must have own transportation.
  • Must have a good command of the English language (read, spoken and written)
  • Experience in the development, use, care and management of measuring and metallurgical equipment.
