Full Job Description
The Quality Manager leads and maintains the organization's Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with FAA 14 CFR Part 21 requirements and industry standards. Working closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Regulatory teams, this role helps ensure products and processes consistently meet customer, regulatory, and company quality expectations while driving continuous improvement. This position operates in both office and manufacturing environments and may require periodic travel to support audits, suppliers, and operational sites.

What You'll Do
  • Lead and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with FAA 14 CFR Part 21 requirements and industry standards.
  • Drive quality initiatives, CAPA processes, audits, and continuous improvement efforts that support operational excellence.
  • Serve as the primary quality lead for FAA Certificate Management System (CMS) activities, regulatory reviews, and compliance initiatives.
  • Partner closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Regulatory teams to ensure products and processes meet quality and customer expectations.
  • Support production quality activities, resolve nonconformances, and implement sustainable corrective actions.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a small quality team while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor quality metrics and system performance to identify risks, improve efficiency, and strengthen compliance.
  • Build strong working relationships with FAA representatives, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to support business and regulatory objectives.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Aviation, or related technical field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Minimum 5+ years of progressive quality management experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of FAA 14 CFR Part 21 requirements and aviation/aerospace quality systems.
  • Experience managing or supporting Quality Management Systems in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience supporting FAA Certificate Management System (CMS) activities and regulatory compliance programs.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience managing a small team.
  • Experience conducting and managing audits, managing CAPA systems, and supporting regulatory inspections.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Aerospace or aviation manufacturing experience.
  • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Quality Manager (CQM), or similar certification preferred.
  • Experience working directly with FAA representatives or regulatory agencies.
  • Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement experience.
