Full Job Description
The North America Tech Deployment (NATD) team is looking for an experienced Quality Lead to drive the strategy and evolution of our Deployment Quality System (DQS) for deployment of complex robotics technologies. This individual will assess quality check processes and tools for existing and New Product Introduction (NPI) technologies.

In this role, you will lead DQS discussions with cross-org stakeholders and collect business requirements to successfully implement DQS . The ideal candidate has passion for building processes with excellent analytical abilities, technical skills, and effective written and verbal communication. We are seeking a candidate with a broad skill-set which demonstrates strong technical quality management skills to rollout complex large-scale projects, collect and implement customer feedback, practice high quality best practices to drive improvements across the organization.

This position requires up to 50% travel.

Key job responsibilities
• Own strategy and evolution of the DQS for complex robotics equipment including writing business requirements, long term strategy, metrics reporting, and deep-data to drive improvements.
• Interface with Amazon Robotics supply chain and manufacturing stakeholders on quality management processes and supplier performance metric.
• Collaborate with Deployment Engineering teams to streamline quality checks and defect data collection processes across large scale technologies in new construction and retrofit environments.
• Works independently and in a group-setting, anticipates follow-up questions and responds with supporting data, drives long-term DQS strategies to support deployment business needs.
• Data management & data quality control experience with experience pulling and analyzing large sets of data in order to drive improvements and make business decisions using statistical tools.
• A proven ability to identify new areas of opportunity and invent processes to address those opportunities using expertise in disciplines such as work instructions, quality checks, for existing and new products.
• Excellent communication, both verbal and written as you will be required to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, status reports, leadership report-out, update WBR/MBR/QBR documentation.
• Influence and communicate effectively with senior management and leaders across the organization to determine priorities and direction.
• This position requires the candidate to drive process improvements and new process creation as well as ability to keep pace with our growth while motivating others to meet the challenges of an extremely deadline-driven environment.

A day in the life

As a Quality Manager, you are responsible for DQS across Tech Deploy including writing tools' business requirements, deep dive data to root cause defects, create quality checks process for existing and new technologies. You will take a lead role in cross-organization goals to ensure DQS is successfully implemented. You will be responsible for cross-org stakeholders and senior leadership communication as well as write strategies, create status reports, leadership report-out, update WBR/MBR/QBR documentation. You will closely work with technical teams of engineers to build new quality processes, collect defect data trends across technology, and reduce defect to improve cost, rework, and drive efficiencies.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or a Bachelor's degree and experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis

- 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience

- 3+ years of experience in quality engineering, process engineering, project management, mechanical or robotics assembly and install.

- 3+ years of experience leveraging technology and implementing lean principles / Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements or equivalent

- Experience communicating to senior management and customers verbally and in writing

- Experience working in a fast-paced and highly cross-functional organization

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Master's degree in Quality Engineering, Process Engineering, or any process improvement-centric discipline

- 7+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience

- 5+ years of experience in quality engineering, process engineering, project management, mechanical or robotics assembly and install

- Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt or any Process Engineering certification

- Experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS) in robotics, manufacturing, or technology deployment environments

- Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI) quality processes and supplier quality management

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
