  • Ensure corrective actions on production quality are implemented and monitored.
  • Conduct quality system training and manage customer complaint documentation.

Join Ionbond as our next QHSE Manager, where you'll play a key role in upholding and advancing our commitment to excellence. In this dynamic role, you'll be at the forefront of ensuring the highest quality standards across our diverse range of products and services. Collaborating with local and regional teams, you will take initiatives to enhance quality, optimize production processes, and quality assurance measures, all while engaging directly with our valued customers. This position is based in Madison Heights Coating center, reporting directly to the Plant Manager

What do we ask?

  • Lead and administer the Quality Assurance function by effectively handling documents and record controls for the coating center.
  • Establish and maintain quality standards and metrics for new processes with Engineering and Operations, define methods & standards to improve product quality and productivity
  • Initiate improvement events (projects, 5S & Kaizen to deliver improved operational performance through waste elimination and variation reduction.
  • Work with local team to improve Health, Safety, and Environmental standards in the plant by identifying and solving potential hazards and risks.
  • Work closely with customer service, operations, and engineering to evaluate and monitor the non-conforming product process.
  • Ensure that corrective and preventive actions concerning production quality are performed and monitored by leading and overseeing the quality department.
  • Perform quality system training throughout the center and collect, document, resolve and maintain all information related to customer complaints.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a candidate with:

Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Engineering

or equivalent relevant work experience

At least fives years of experience in quality management, engineering

or a related college-level field

Strong background in ISO 9001 quality systems

with proven experience implementing and maintaining IATF 16949:2016 standards

Minimum of three years as a qualified internal auditor is required

Advanced Excel proficiency, excellent organizational skills, and strong verbal communication abilities

Ability to interpret blueprints, inspection specifications, and written or verbal instructions

as well as develop work instructions and quality documentation

Six Sigma Greenbelt certification is highly preferred

Role requires occasional U.S. travel (10% or less) and eligibility to work in the United States
