Job description

A glimpse at the job:

Ensuring manufacturing processes meet AS9100, ISO 9001, ITAR, and DoD requirements.
Overseeing process validation, first article inspections (FAI per AS9102), and final product inspections to ensure compliance.
Implementing and maintaining Statistical Process Control (SPC) to monitor and improve manufacturing quality.
Developing and enforcing manufacturing process controls to minimize defects and scrap.
Ensuring compliance with DoD contracts, MIL-STD, ITAR, DFARS, and FAA requirements.
Investigating non-conformances, defects, and production failures using 8D, 5 Whys, and Fishbone Diagrams.
Leading Corrective and Preventive Action initiatives to address recurring quality issues.
Collaborating with engineering and manufacturing teams to implement process improvements and reduce defects.
Leading Lean Six Sigma projects to optimize manufacturing efficiency and reduce waste.
Preparing and presenting Key Performance Indicators and trend analyses for production quality performance.

Candidate skills & requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or related field.
5 years of quality experience, preferably in aerospace manufacturing.
3-5 years of leadership experience preferred.
Demonstrated leadership and communication skills, including a high level of common software and computer literacy.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Must have demonstrated ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
No certification requirements.
