Position Summary Quality Engineers are core delivery team members responsible for the validation of functional and nonfunctional requirements implemented by a team. They are responsible for decomposing the functional and technical requirements created by Product Owners and Systems Analysts into test scripts. Quality Engineers raise defects as issues are identified and support the remediation process with teams.
Global Digital Experience (GDX) is looking for a passionate Quality Engineer eager to lead the Universal Cart & Checkout (UCC) project. You will solve complex automation problems at a global scale, specifically focused on modernizing our classic checkout experience from WebCommerce to UCC.
Job Duties/Essential Functions- Leads the design and implementation of comprehensive automated testing efforts across front-end and backend UCC web applications, including advanced test data automation strategies to support the new checkout flow.
- Directs, leads, and removes roadblocks for the UCC quality engineering team to ensure project success.
- Implements and maintains Java-based automation frameworks for functional, regression, and integration testing, ensuring alignment with modern architectural standards.
- Measures and reports organization performance regarding automated testing efforts across front-end and backend UCC web applications.
- Collaborates with product teams and developers to define the automated testing strategy and resolve dependencies.
- Integrates automation tests with CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
- Mentors and guides team members to increase skills and productivity in software quality assurance.

Experience, Skills, Education & Licenses/CertificationsRequired:- 9+ years of experience in developing test strategies and plans, with 2+ years of hands-on experience using industry-standard tools like Playwright, Postman, and Selenium.
- Extensive hands-on experience with cart and checkout systems; must possess deep knowledge of complex payment integrations, payment gateways, and end-to-end order management workflows.
- 3-5 years of experience leveraging languages such as Java and JavaScript
- Strong knowledge of SDLC and SQA methodology, as well as experience testing in Agile or DevOps teams.
- Ability to digest and understand complex/ambiguous user requirements and construct effective test cases.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey product vision to both technical and business audiences.
- Ability to work under pressure with a strong sense of urgency.
Recommended: - Experience working in a retail eCommerce environment.
- SQA experience working within an iterative development framework.
- Knowledge and experience with XML and web-based services.
- Familiarity working with vendors for QA testing, defect management, and troubleshooting.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficient in Google Workspace applications, including Sheets, Docs, Slides, and Gmail.
