Quality EngineerAdvantest Test Solutions, Inc. (ATS) is looking for Quality Engineer to join our team in Lake Forest, CA. This individual will be driving quality improvements through quality issue closures and design/process reviews. The role requires a wide knowledge linked to the missions such as failure analysis, Data analysis, Quality assurance theories, electric/mechanical material, and good communication skills in muti functional teams.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:- Improving quality of processes, control documents, design of make parts to improve company product quality and customer satisfaction by handling issue cases from production, field and information from group companies
- Participating in production material review board (MRB) activity and take actions to keep balance between quality improvement and production time
- Using an issue case database and Power BI tools for quality issue trend analysis and status tracking to take improvement or preventive actions for issue cases, tools and the process.
- Identifying process inefficiencies, quality risks, recurring defects, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Investigate, analyze, and drive resolution of quality issues originating from production, suppliers, field operations, customers, and affiliated group companies through structured problem-solving methodologies.
- Support root cause investigations, corrective and preventive action activities, and effectiveness verification to drive sustainable quality improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Service, Operations, and Program Management, to resolve quality issues and implement preventive improvements.
- All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements, Education & Skills:- Residence in commuting range to our Lake Forest facility
- Bachelor's or higher degree in electrical/Mechanical and/or technology fields with more than 5 years' experience in quality or engineering or R&D.
- Solid experience in failure analysis on electrical components is highly valued
- Knowledge in PCB/PCBA production, Semiconductor production is preferred
- Effective and open-minded communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work in cross functional team.
- Having mid-advance skills in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams, Outlook, List, Power BI)
- Motivated to improve your abilities in quality assurance area
- Strong planning & organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proven ability to meet deadlines, with A "can do" work ethic with excellent problem-solving skills
- Capable of working with minimal supervision and maintaining concentration on tasks
- Adaptable to changes in priorities keeping positive attitude
- Familiarity of industry quality standards such as IPC standards
- Experience of FMEA (design, Production) process
- Ability of data tool design skill is plus
- This is an onsite position in Lake Forest, CA.
