Main Duties & Responsibilities

Summary:
PennAero is hiring a Quality Engineer at our Allfast Fastening Systems location in City of Industry, CA. Allfast Fastening Systems is a leading global manufacturer of solid and blind rivets, blind bolts, temporary fasteners, and installation tools for the aerospace industry. Our fasteners are crucial for the structural integrity of both commercial airliners and military jets. As a key supplier to major aerospace manufacturers, Allfast's products support the commercial, military, and general aviation platforms in production and in service.
JOB SUMMARY:
Plans and conducts activities concerned with the quality assurance ofprocesses, materials and products. Plans and conducts analysis,inspection, design, and/or integration to assure the quality of products.

Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Competencies:
Develops, manages, implements, monitors and maintains the company's system ofquality in accordance with governing quality standards and customer qualitysystem requirements

Develops, maintains, and implements internal quality assurance policies andprocedures in accordance with ISO9000/AS9100 and other requirements imposed bythe customers and governmental agencies.

Assists in maintaining the company wide Quality System Program. Ensuresthe program is designed to achieve planned results.

Performs quality engineering reviews of blueprint drawings and inspectiondocuments for compliance with stated requirements.

Conducts and maintains First Article Inspection Reports.

Conducts internal and vendor audits to ensure compliance with documentedprocedure.

Monitors quality objectives and prepares reports for review.

Generates and follows up corrective actions as required. Monitorsdelinquent corrective actions and makes follow-up with appropriate party asrequired.

Participates in customer complaint resolution.

Conducts quality training as required.

Completes Customer mail audits as required.

Develops plan and implementation of NADCAP for various organizationalfunctions.

Interfaces with customer quality representatives in performing quality auditsto maintain their approval.

Completes Customer Surveys as required.

Establishes the internal and vendor audits to assure adherence to the committedquality policies and procedures.

Monitors Quality System objectives and prepares reports for management reviewand action.
This role is required to be on-site 5 days at the City ofIndustry, CA location.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's Degree
Three (3) years minimum related quality assurance experience in a manufacturingenvironment
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets general business periodicals,professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions fromemployees and customers/vendors.

Mathematical Skills:
Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms,quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematicaloperations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of testreliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques,sampling theory, and factor analysis.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collects data, establish facts, and draw validconclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technicalinstructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract andconcrete variables.

Compensation
In compliance with all states and cities requiringtransparency of pay, the expected pay range for this position is $75,000- $90,000.
Compensation can vary depending on several factors,including a candidate's qualifications, skills, experience, competencies, andgeographic location. Some roles may qualify for extra incentives likeequity, commissions, or other variable performance-related bonuses. Further details will be provided by our recruiting team during the interviewprocess.
