We are hiring a
Quality Engineer to support Steelcase Quality objectives and serve as the customer advocate in the total Supply Chain - from our supply base through product development and manufacturing, to our customers.
You'll Support Meaningful Work By:- Supporting Steelcase Quality objectives and serving as the customer advocate throughout the total Supply Chain
- Supporting FMEA-based risk mitigation activities
- Designing and evaluating manufacturing quality assurance systems, procedures, and statistical techniques
- Managing functional responsibilities across cross-functional teams
- Specifying inspection and testing mechanisms and equipment
- Analyzing production and service processes and recommending specification revisions when needed
- Formulating or contributing to quality assurance policies and procedures
Minimum Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
- 4-6+ years of experience in Quality Engineering or a technical field
- Ability to travel up to 10%
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and collaboration across cross-functional teams

Desired Skills and Experience:- Applying a comprehensive understanding of quality engineering principles and standards (e.g., ASQ Quality Engineer Body of Knowledge)

- Demonstrating project management and advanced facilitation skills
- Representing the company as a technical lead on key projects
- Understanding product testing requirements, development cycles, and special processes
