Job Description Wyman-Gordon, located in Princeton KY, provides Nickel-based Extruded Powder Alloy for Military and Commercial Turbine Applications. The Princeton, KY facility offers Vacuum-Melt Atomizers; for the raw material needs of the Worcester, MA forge Isothermal forge shop. This growing, profit center is part of a highly successful, multi-billion diversified manufacturer: Precision Castparts Corporation (PCC).
Sr. Quality EngineerPRIMARY FUNCTION:Quality Engineer responsible for full compliance, product quality and audit of WG Princeton. Assure Wyman-Gordon's Quality systems and procedures satisfy government and customer requirements, and assure compliance of product shipped to contractual requirements.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- A point of contact with customers, regulatory, and government agencies on all quality related issues, and audits
- Maintain and update the Quality Manual
- Control and approve internal procedures
- Auditing of Wyman-Gordon for compliance
- Responsible for the audit and approval of subcontractors
- Manage personnel responsible for quality planning, release of product and raw material, and the final certification of product.
- Function as the Management Representative as required by ISO-9001, AS9100, AS13100
- Manage personnel performing source inspection, audit, and release of product from subcontract suppliers
REQUIREMENTS:- BS minimum, or 0-5 years of experience in quality related functions preferred (Engineering degree strongly preferred)
- Training as ISO9001/AS9100 Lead Auditor preferred
- Knowledge or experience required in the following areas: Process Flow Diagrams, PFMEA, Control Plans, Systemic Problem-Solving Skills, Poka-Yoke Development and Implementation, SPC, System Audits, NDT Testing, Material Testing, Blue Print and Specification interpretation, Customer specifications and requirements, Calibration requirements
SPECIAL SKILLS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of Quality based computer systems (NDT, QMS)
- Good PC skills with Microsoft Office applications, Minitab,
US Citizenship or Perm Residency is required due to government military contracts. Relocation Relocation is authorized for this position.
