Quality Engineer Job Posting Location: Jefferson City, MO Posting Start Date: 7/29/26 Req Id: 9376 Required Travel: 0 - 10% Remote, Onsite or Hybrid?: Onsite Position Description We are hiring a Quality Engineer at our Jefferson City, MO manufacturing facility supporting our Air Cooled Applications business. Reporting to the Quality Manager, this role will play a key part in supporting a rapidly growing operation by leading supplier-related quality activities while also supporting internal and customer quality initiatives. This is a hands-on, onsite role for a Quality Engineer who enjoys problem solving, working cross-functionally with Operations and Engineering, and driving issues to permanent resolution in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities 30 Lead and manage supplier quality issues, including containment, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and follow-up30 Apply structured problem-solving methodologies (8D preferred) to supplier, production, and customer quality issues30 Serve as a primary point of contact for supplier quality performance and improvement efforts30 Conduct and support product, process, and system audits in alignment with ISO 9001 requirements30 Support and maintain compliance with IATF-16949 standards (experience preferred, not required)30 Review quality trends, identify improvement opportunities, and implement corrective actions30 Support APQP and PPAP activities as required30 Collaborate closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality Supervisors, and QA Technicians30 Provide quality leadership through influence and delegation (dotted-line support to QA technicians)30 Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in a high-growth manufacturing environment Required Education & Qualifications 30 Bachelors degree in Engineering or related technical discipline is required30 3+ years of Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment30 Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications30 Exposure to ISO 9000 or IATF-16949 preferred30 Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities30 Comfortable working cross-functionally and communicating with suppliers and internal teams Why Choose Modine?
