Job Description

Primary Responsibilities
  • Lead investigations of internal, supplier, and customer quality issues, including nonconformances, escapes, complaints, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Support MRB activities and disposition nonconforming material in accordance with engineering, customer, and regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze quality data, trends, scrap, rework, and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement and reduce defects.
  • Develop and maintain inspection plans, quality controls, process controls, and quality documentation to ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and company requirements.
  • Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Operations to improve process capability, reduce variation, and enhance product quality and operational performance.
  • Support product and process validation activities including APQP, PPAP, FAI, qualification, and production readiness requirements.
  • Review contracts, purchase orders, sales orders, drawings, specifications, and customer requirements to ensure effective quality requirement review and flow down.
  • Serve as the primary quality interface for customers, supporting audits, corrective actions, technical inquiries, quality reviews, and issue resolution.
  • Support internal, customer, FAA, Nadcap, and AS9100 audits, ensuring timely closure of findings and ongoing compliance with the Quality Management System.
  • Provide quality leadership, training, and guidance while supporting the continual improvement and effectiveness of the Quality Management System.

Required Skills
  • Root cause analysis and problem-solving techniques (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, etc.)
  • Statistical analysis and process control methods
  • Knowledge of AS9100, FAA, and Nadcap requirements
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, inspection methods, and metrology
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements
  • Effective project management and cross-functional leadership skills
  • Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement principles
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • ASQ CQE and/or Six Sigma certification preferred

Required Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field.
  • Minimum 8-10 years of quality engineering experience in aerospace manufacturing.
  • Experience supporting corrective action systems, MRB activities, process improvement, and regulatory/customer audits.
  • Experience with aerospace quality systems, inspection planning, and manufacturing process controls.
  • Knowledge of frozen planning, First Article Inspection (AS9102), and flight safety requirements preferred.


For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $120,000.00 to $135,000.00 US Dollar (USD) Salaried based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company's Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 2X the Company's bonus multiple, based on the Company's performance in the applicable quarter. Employees will receive 120 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company's 401(k) plan.

This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations (including, but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)).
