OverviewNakupunaConsultingis seeking a Quality Engineer III to provide software testing, data collection and analysis, subject matter expertise, and mentorship supporting the execution of a large size, multi-year contract to the Integrated Personnel and Pay System 6 Army (IPPS-A) Army Military Payroll (AMP).The QualityEngineer III will conduct quality testing on the PeopleSoft Human Capital Management (HCM) deliverables to ensurerequired capabilityfor the Army client. The Quality Engineer III willbe responsible forassessing software functionality through both manual andif necessary,automatedtesting.TheQualityEngineerIII will gather and compile test metric data. Using this data, theymaydraft reports on the functionality of the software for AMP andmaydistribute these reports tothe QualityEngineer IV and to other senior managers. These reports may also be delivered to the Army client.The QualityEngineer III should be comfortable working in an agile environment, resolving complex problemsif and whenthey arise. Collaboration with the various Agile Teams will be a common aspect of the position, and the Quality Engineer III should be comfortable with data sharing and information sharing across teams. As a senior engineer, mentorship of juniorstaff-membersmayalso be part of this position, and the Quality Engineer III should be willing to coach team members across the AMP program.
Responsibilities

- Reviews software requirements and specifications to develop and execute testing strategies for a product or release.
- Developsreusable test functions or components.
- Executes manual and potentiallyautomated tests to assess software functionality and performance using multiple systems, platforms, environments, or browsers.
- Identifies, logs, and track defects.
- Reports technical issues to development or product management teams andverifiesfixes.
- Performs work under minimal supervision.
- Handles complex issues and problems and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff.
- Possesses solid working knowledge of Quality Engineering processes.
- Provides leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group.
- May act as a lead or first-level supervisor.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:Bachelor92s degree with 4-6 years of experience within the federal government, DoD, Army, or IC and/or private sector preferred. Must have experience with Software Testing applications such asAzure Dev Ops (ADO),TricentisTosca,ALM,PeopleSoft, Workday, or other ERP experience a plus.
Skills/Qualifications:Certifications in IAT Level II andSAFefor Teams preferred. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Needs great interpersonal/communication skills. Able to translate customer requirements to team goals.
Clearance Requirements:This position requires a current Secret clearance. Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Work Location:Hybrid work situation (2 in-office days per week).Work location will be inCrystal City, VA.

The projected compensation range for this position is $105,000.00 to $152,000.00 (annualized USD). The salary range displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Nakupuna Companies total compensation package for employees.
