Job Description

As a Quality Engineer III here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of quality for our products and processes. In this role, you will impact the company's ability to deliver high-quality products, meet regulatory requirements, and exceed customer expectations. Your expertise in quality engineering, problem-solving skills, and commitment to excellence will contribute to the company's success and reputation in the industry.

You will report directly to our Quality Engineering Manager and you'll work out of our Kanata, ON location on a hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing quality assurance strategies, conducting audits, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

KeyResponsibilities
  • Lead and support quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements as well as Honeywell Aerospace and industry quality standards.
  • Conduct nonconformance / noncompliance root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, customers and suppliers to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor quality metrics and analyse data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Participate in conducting audits and ensure adherence to quality management systems and regulatory requirements.
  • Establishes product quality documentation system by writing and updating quality assurance procedures according to AS9100.
  • Maintain the AS9100. Certification, host the external audits and lead the internal audits.
  • Maintain site internal audit schedule.


Qualifications

The Honeywell Aerospace building is a controlled goods program environment. Candidates must be eligible for CGP security clearance.

YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electronics/ Electrical, Mechanical, or related technical discipline)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in quality engineering roles within electronics manufacturing / repair environments.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working with AS9100 quality management systems and regulatory standards applicable to the industry.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working with quality tools such as Root Cause Analysis and audit.


WE VALUE
  • Certifications such as Six Sigma, Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), or similar is a plus.
  • Strong data analysis skills and experience with quality improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to drive quality improvements.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency with Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
  • Knowledge on PPAP process
  • Proficient in conveying technical information clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to drive process improvements and innovations to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.


The annual base salary range for this position is $80,000 to $110,000 in Kanata, ON. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell Aerospace considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
