Join a world-class medical device manufacturing site in Fort Worth, Texas with Medtronic! As a Quality Engineer at Medtronic Fort Worth, you will work at the forefront of spine surgery medical device manufacturing, supporting manufacturing operations by driving product and process quality, resolving issues, and ensuring compliance with applicable quality system and regulatory requirements. In this role, you will partner closely with manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, and other cross-functional teams to investigate nonconformances, support corrective and preventive actions, and improve process capability and product reliability. You will also help implement quality improvement initiatives, support audits and inspections, and contribute to the overall effectiveness of the site's quality management system.

Primary Responsibilities:

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
  • Develop, modify, apply and maintain quality standards and protocol for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials product.
  • Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place.
  • Devise and implement methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.
  • Design or specify inspection and testing mechanisms and equipment; conduct quality assurance tests; and perform statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.
  • Ensure that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements.
  • May specialize in the areas of design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation and reliability, inventory control and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science or technical field with 2+ years of work experience in Engineering and/or Quality OR Advanced Degree in Engineering, Science or technical field with 0+ years of work experience in Engineering and/or Quality


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Medical Device or another highly regulated industry
  • Experience in Problem Solving / Lean Six Sigma
  • Experience in Statistical Methods or Data Analysis
  • Experience in Process Validation
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • ASQ CQE, CQA certification is a plus


For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. A7 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$79,200.00 - $118,800.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).
