Job Purpose

We are currently seeking a Quality Engineer 1st Shift to join our team in Goodfield. In this role, you will be responsible for activities related to quality including planning, implementation, and sustainment of the company Quality Management System.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements programs to establish and maintain quality standards of existing products and services, as well as developing programs to focus employees on quality improvement.
  • Works with Quality Supervisor and Techs to conduct inspections on products, materials, components, parts, etc., at various stages of the production process to ensure compliance with established quality and reliability standards.
  • Analyzes statistical data from processes to either confirm compliance with established standards or identify deviations from standards.
  • Develops, assures, and maintains the quality of products and processes, including standard procedures (e.g. ISO 9001:2000), quality audits/review, Taguchi methods, process reengineering, etc. - Develops policies, procedures, and methods to evaluate and improve the quality of products, materials, components and/or operations
  • Recommends new or enhanced methods, procedures, and standards to improve process and product quality.
  • Work with supplier to identify root cause of quality issue, implement monitor the countermeasures implementation.
  • Lead project to solve issues related to warranty and plant scrap. Using PDCA/ Kaizen approach.
  • Work with Logistic area to secure the production department, containing defective parts.
  • Incoming Inspection process coordination, including continuous improvements activities to reduce the incoming inspection cost (8 Stages of Incoming Material).
  • PPAP Process coordination.
  • Material Review Board / Scrap cost management.
  • Workload management in high pace manufacturing environment
  • Other related duties as assigned


Experience Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Math, or Statistics.
  • Two (2) or more years of Quality Assurance experience in a manufacturing environment.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Good communication skills and ability to communicate with different levels of employees in the organization.
  • Good working knowledge in all Microsoft programs (Outlook, Excel, Power Point).


Pay Transparency

The annual salary for this role is USD $86,625.00 - $115,000.00 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)

For roles open across multiple locations, the salary range indicated refers to the primary location. If a different location is considered, the applicable salary range will be communicated to candidates prior to the first interview.
