Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to support advanced manufacturing and aerospace quality initiatives within a fast-paced engineering environment. This role will partner closely with Engineering, Production, Supply Chain, and Laboratory teams to ensure customer requirements, inspection processes, and quality standards are fully integrated throughout product development and manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in metrology, quality systems, process capability analysis, and aerospace manufacturing quality practices.

Job Responsibilities:
* Analyze customer drawings, specifications, and quality requirements and ensure proper flow-down across departments in collaboration with the Engineering team.
* Develop control plans, inspection plans, production datasheets, and supporting quality documentation.
* Support Methods of Manufacturing (MoM) development for new products with focus on inspection gates and quality controls.
* Assist with supply chain qualification activities and supplier quality processes.
* Develop and maintain First Article Inspection (FAI) packages and customer-specific documentation.
* Support machine setup activities and prototype development alongside production personnel.
* Perform analysis and support for special processes including heat treatment, NDT, shot peening, coatings, superpolishing, and raw material qualification.
* Lead investigations related to nonconforming products, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
* Conduct process capability studies and Measurement System Analysis (MSA).
* Collaborate with laboratory personnel supporting mechanical and material testing activities.
* Ensure inspection methods and routines remain compliant with customer requirements and industry standards.
* Support quality procedure development, continuous improvement initiatives, and external audit activities.

Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor"s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
* 2+ years of experience in manufacturing environments, preferably within aerospace quality or quality engineering.
* Strong understanding of GD&T, drawing interpretation, and tolerancing principles.
* Knowledge of CMM measurement processes and metrology systems.
* Experience with PFMEA development, control plans, process capability analysis, and MSA studies.
* Familiarity with laboratory testing, material certifications, and qualification processes.
* Working knowledge of special manufacturing processes including NDT, coatings, heat treatment, and shot peening.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and MS Office Suite.
* Ability to support audits and develop quality procedures/process documentation.

Preferred Qualifications:
* Aerospace manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
* Experience using Minitab or equivalent statistical analysis software.
* Familiarity with AS9100 quality systems and aerospace customer requirements.
* Experience supporting prototype launches and new product introduction activities.
* Knowledge of surface characterization and advanced metrology techniques.
