What You Will Do:
- Ensures that the quality of RTX suppliers, products and processes are compliant with internal and regulatory standards and are continuously improving.
- Provide direction to ensure quality tasking is accomplished within budget, on time and as defined in planning.
- Manages the quality function (establishes, oversees, and coordinates quality policy and practice) of CSMC.
- Perform independent reviews and assessments of CSMC performance, including independent technical assessments of systems engineering, Quality Assurance (QA), lessons learned, industry best practices, technology, production and programmatic (cost, schedule, quality and risks).
- Identifies and addresses areas where the adequacy of CSMC plans, requirements, analyses, risk mitigation plans, certification/verification/validation/qualification approaches and process/product noncompliance have the potential to impact overall mission success.
- Responsible for continuously reviewing quality strategy, practice, and procedure to ensure the customer requirements are met. Establishes customer relations and communications processes.
- Establishes and implements long-term quality strategy including plans, guidelines, policies, and processes to ensure the achievement of quality targets.
- Leads development of organization projects and processes to ensure overall quality is continuously improving.
- Oversees quality improvement processes to ensure on-going reductions in Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) and escapes.
- Leads teams collecting and analyzing quality information from multiple sources to develop long-term quality strategy and programs.
- Leads teams providing production process analyses, ensuring quality standards are met and making recommendations for quality improvement.
Qualification You Must Have:
- Advanced degree and 12+ years of experience in Quality, Engineering or Operations experience in Aviation, Aerospace, Space, Defense, Automotive or similarly regulated industry; OR Bachelor's degree and 14+ years of relevant experience; OR Associate’s degree / Technical School Diploma and 16+ years of relevant industry experience. OR High School diploma or Military / Technical Training (ex: A&P Certificate) and 18+ years of relevant industry experience
- 6+ years of experience in Quality Management, Quality Engineering, or Operations
- 6+ years of leadership experience ideally managing technical teams
- Experience with Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100, AS9110)
Qualifications We Prefer:
- University degree ideally in Engineering or Business preferred
- Strategic leadership, P&L and organization management experience.
- Operations leadership and personnel management experience ideally within a collective bargaining unit / union workforce
- Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (i.e., AS9100/AS9110 or ISO 9001) and audit process
- Root Cause and Corrective Action experience (QCPC, RCCA Red-X, Fault Tree, etc.)
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage quality clinics or other projects effectively.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies (CORE/ACE/SixSigma, etc.)
- Working knowledge of Pratt & Whitney shop practices & processes, quality standards, and inspections methods & tools
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite programs, SAP ERP, and Solumina MES
- Ability to work and effectively communicate with all levels of management, shop personnel, external customers and regulatory agencies (i.e. DCMA, FAA, etc.).

The salary range for this role is 186,200 USD - 353,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
