Job DescriptionThe QC Supervisor provides day-to-day leadership and oversight of Quality Control laboratory operations at the Middletown, VA site. This role leads laboratory personnel, coordinates testing priorities, and helps ensure accurate and timely testing in compliance with cGMP, site procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Working cross-functionally with Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Engineering, Validation, and other partners, the QC Supervisor supports product release, laboratory investigations, inspection readiness, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Location: Middletown, VA

Key Responsibilities- Supervise, coach, and develop QC laboratory personnel.
- Coordinate daily testing priorities and laboratory workload.
- Review and approve laboratory data and controlled documentation.
- Support product release, environmental monitoring, and routine QC testing.
- Lead or support OOS, OOT, deviation, and laboratory investigations.
- Support CAPAs, change controls, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure laboratory equipment, training, and documentation remain compliant.
- Maintain inspection readiness and support internal and regulatory audits.
- Monitor laboratory performance, turnaround time, and key quality metrics.
- Partner with QA, Manufacturing, Engineering, Validation, and other departments.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or related scientific field.
- 5+ years of QC laboratory experience in a regulated industry.
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of cGMP, Good Documentation Practices, and data integrity.
- Experience with laboratory investigations, deviations, CAPAs, and change controls.
- Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Experience- Pharmaceutical, biologics, diagnostics, or medical device manufacturing.
- Environmental monitoring and microbiology testing.
- LIMS, SAP, MasterControl, or similar quality/laboratory systems.
- Lean or continuous improvement methodologies.
Compensation and BenefitsThe salary range estimated for this position based in Virginia is $75,800.00-$113,675.00.
