POSITION SUMMARY
We are currently seeking a Quality Clinic Leader (QCL). The QCL coordinates the analysis of parts non-conformances, the determination of the true root cause, and elimination of future non-conformances through leading the Quality Clinic Team. QCL is responsible for planning, direction, and coordination in partnership with other team members to bring closure to quality issues ensuring future conformance.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The following list represents the key activities typical of this role:
- Update and maintain procedures and work instructions to ensure compliance with Customer requirements.
- Assist and train personnel in procedures and processes establishing and documenting inspection criteria and process improvements.
- Utilize qualitative and statistical methods and tools to collect, summarize, analyze, interpret, and communicate process capability and performance.
- Update and monitor Quality Clinic metrics for jobs that go over the triage rules.
- Communicate in monthly meeting with management for all roadblocks in the quality clinic log that needs more support.
- Lead the Quality Clinic team in identifying root cause and implement corrective actions to eradicate escapes (both customer and internal), eliminate scrap, and action quality issues that cause delivery delays.
- Chair and lead cross functional discussions pertaining to RCCA.
- Timely management of quality issues by bringing all relevant functions together and effectively communicating path forward.
- Lead, mentor, coach and develop the Quality Clinic team.
- Conduct training.
- Lead cross functional meetings.
- Search for opportunities to increase efficiency of Quality Clinic processes.
- Facilitate and present corrective actions and containment based on the scope of the issue.
- Conduct data analysis.
- Additional projects as assigned.
- Hands-on leader expected to work closely with all stakeholders.
- Previous Aerospace manufacturing technique and/or process experience preferred.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCES
- Bachelors degree in engineering or equivalent discipline or related field plus minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or equivalent experience and education.
- Prior knowledge of corrective action techniques such as 5 Whys, 8Ds, Fishbone, Pareto, etc.
- Comfortable with diverse manufacturing processes. Machining experience preferred.
- Highly motivated and dedicated individuals capable of leading a diverse team of stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with five or more years previous leadership experience.
- Strong drive for achieving results.
- Ability to conduct independent data analysis and navigate through complex situations.
