Description
Duties and Responsibilities- Responsible for the daily operation of the Quality Assurance team and activities, makes work assignments as needed to meet production and Program Participant needs.
- Nonconformance and Corrective action process.
- Internal Auditing program.
- Preventive Action and Continuous Improvements
- Departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Provides training and feedback to direct reports to achieve results.
- Supports the Quality Manager in maintaining & improving the Quality Management System
- Participates in safety and quality investigations and recommends corrective action.
- Provides training to Orion staff and recommends qualification on specific processes and equipment as identified on qualification matrix.
- Leads departmental 6s activities to meet requirements.
- Responsible for making time & labor corrections in Paylocity and Epicor for direct reports.
- Responsible for performance evaluations, improvement plans and disciplinary actions for direct reports.
- Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
Qualifications- Minimum 3 years of experience in a Quality Assurance role
- Minimum of 2 years leadership experience
- Experience supporting & conducting AS9100 audits is preferred.
- Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor certificate preferred, or equivalent experience conducting and leading internal audits along with creating audit checklists & schedules.
- Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T), standard aerospace inspection methods, ability to interpret blueprints and specifications.
- Familiarity with Boeing Portal, SQIS, and Exostar
- Problem solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collectively.
- Customer service skills; able to relate well to all customers internal as well as external customers.

Salary Description
$73-95k per year
