Description

NOTE: This opportunity is full-time employment position only (no 1099 or C2C engagements, or third parties or staffing agencies, please). The candidate MUST be a U.S. Citizen. This is a remote opportunity; however, the candidate must reside in the DMV area.

Daily Responsibilities
  • Create, update and maintain software quality assurance's test plans, suites and scripts for the implementation of procedures to complete quality assurance testing. Exclusively responsible for finding the bugs in the software
  • Develop and implement procedures and test plans for assuring quality in a system development environment which supports databases and applications.
  • Develop, maintain, and upgrade automated test scripts and architectures for application products. Write, implement, and report status for system test cases for testing. Analyzes test cases and provides regular progress reports.
  • Responsible for all activities involving quality assurance and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Complete test cases to complete input validation as well as data verification
  • Complete an assessment of how software development process is being implemented relative to the defined process and recommend methods to optimize the organization's process.
  • Ability to review, recommend improvements, on processes, procedures, and workflows
  • Reporting to the Project Manager, regularly, with regard to the quality and condition of the testing
  • Researching software products for feasibility and feature-set


Requirements

  • Must of a U.S. Citizen (no dual status), as mandated by our government client.
  • Must possess an active public trust and be able to complete/pass/hold a secret security clearance.
  • Must be local to the DMV area (Arlington VA).
  • 8+ years of experience in the IT security field.
  • 8+ years of professional experience in quality assurance is required.
  • Must be able to design, implement, and conduct test and evaluation procedures to ensure system and business requirements are met.
  • Expert QA knowledge is a must to evaluate, recommend, and implement automated test tools and strategies.
  • Experience conducting QA audits, review and analysis of data and documentation.
  • Expert knowledge and experience with Microsoft Test Manager (MTM) a major PLUS.
  • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity or 10 years of equivalent experience may be substituted for a 4-year degree.


Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. $80k - $95k.
