Responsibilities

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented program Quality Assurance (QA) Process Lead to oversee and enhance our DHS quality assurance processes. The QA Process Lead will serve as the DHS QA Officer and will play a critical role in ensuring that our internal processes meet the highest standards of compliance, quality, efficiency, and timeliness.  This position requires advanced leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills to oversee quality control systems, implement industry best practices, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

 

Reston, VA is the preferred location for this position however we are open to telework.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Plan, develop, and implement a department’s Quality Assurance (QA) programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Lead and oversee quality assurance operations, including evaluating processes, identifying gaps, and recommending improvements to achieve operational excellence.
  • Administer and monitor the Quality Control Program, ensuring adherence to established protocols, documented processes, and regulatory compliance.
  • Conduct internal audits and inspections to identify inefficiencies and non-conformance issues, and recommend corrective and preventive actions
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including operations, IT, and compliance, to foster a culture of quality and partnership of initiatives
  • Implement tools and methodologies for performance measurement, leveraging metrics to monitor quality standards, identify trends, and drive organizational improvements.
  • Manage all aspects of quality-related training and development for team members, ensuring employees are up to date on policies and standards.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices, competitive landscapes, and emerging technologies to continuously improve product and service delivery.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 6 years PERSEC (Personnel Security) and/or BI experience with BS/BA
  • US Citizenship
  • Favorable T5 (Tier 5) investigation clearance or its equivalent
  • Comprehensive knowledge of BI (Background Investigation) policies, procedures, and compliance standards.
  • Strong background in Project and Process Management, with a track record of leading successful initiatives.
  • Proficiency in utilizing performance metrics as key drivers for operational performance and trend analysis.
  • In-depth understanding of the competitive landscape, including best practices, cutting-edge products, systems, and analytics, to promote operational excellence.
  • Proven experience implementing the DHS Quality Contact Program, maintaining compliance with standards and requirements.
  • Expertise in conducting and managing a two-tier ROI review process for operational efficiency and accuracy.
  • Demonstrated ability to administer and oversee a department-wide Quality Control Program for continuous process improvement.

Target Salary Range$66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
