Responsibilities

  • Provide training on sanitation, fill control, can seams, and grading.
  • Conduct sanitation audits within the manufacturing facility.
  • Administer the Company safety program effectively.
  • Investigate spoilage issues to identify root causes and solutions.
  • Participate in required food safety audits to uphold standards.

Full Job Description
Seneca Foods Corporation of Montgomery, MN, a food production and distribution center located approximately 35 miles southwest of the Twin Cities metro, currently has an opening for a full-time Quality Assurance Manager. This position will ensure that all products meet or exceed Company standards and comply with processing regulations. Responsibilities:
  • Perform audits to monitor compliance with all GMP standards, food safety standards, food safety issues, case and label procedures, and safety programs.
  • Supervise employees on the assigned shift.
  • Review and organize plant processing records for conformance with local/state/federal regulations and Company policy.
  • Coordinate quality functions with the Corporate quality control team.
  • Provide employee training for fill control, sanitation, can seams, grading, and statistical process control.
  • Perform audits to monitor the sanitary conditions within the manufacturing facility.
  • Administer the Company safety program.
  • Perform investigations of causes for any spoilage issues.
  • Participate in food safety audits as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Willingness and ability to function in a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • One to two years of supervisory experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science or a related field.
  • Certified (or able to become certified) in Better Process Control School, Thermal Processing, and Container Closure.

Starting salary range based on skills, abilities and expoierence from 80K-90K.
