Responsibilities

  • Drive customer-focused quality improvement projects from initiation to realization
  • Ensure compliance with US windows QMS requirements
  • Create advanced quality planning documents and participate in FMEA and other quality activities
  • Develop and present improvement plans based on key metrics data
  • Lead corrective and preventive action programs from start to finish
  • Collaborate with line supervisors to implement engineering changes and process improvements
  • Measure success via key metrics like defect rates and cost of quality
  • Incorporate Lean Methodology to enhance product quality
  • Act as an internal consultant to improve manufacturing processes and quality
  • Ensure material component specifications are accurate
  • Hire, train, and supervise QC techs for quality improvement
  • Engage with customers and suppliers to tackle quality challenges
  • Conduct employee training on quality awareness
  • Solve complex technical problems through cross-functional teams
  • Participate in Corporate Quality and Third-party audits

Job Description

The Quality Manager is responsible for developing practical and innovative ways to drive in-process quality improvement. Reporting to the Plant Manager, this role develops teams and drives continuous improvement to ensure production lines operate effectively, resources are optimized, and customer expectations are met.

Responsibilities
  • Drive customer focused manufacturing Quality improvement projects, from initiation to realization of improved performance.
  • Implement and assure compliance with the requirements of the US windows QMS
  • Prepare advanced quality planning documents and participate in quality planning activities, including FMEA's, Process Flow Diagrams, Control Charts and Gage R&R studies.
  • Using the key metrics data, develop improvement plan, present it to PLT and facilitate implementation
  • Provide quality engineering expertise and utilize specialized skills
  • Drive corrective and preventive action program, from initiation to resolution of items
  • Develop positive relationships and work closely with line supervisor to manage and implement engineering changes, process improvements and new part or product introductions, CQV
  • Deliver results as measured by key metrics such as defect rates PPM, cost of quality and corrective action closure
  • Incorporate Lean Methodology into process improvement to improve product quality
  • Act as an internal consultant to improve quality and manufacturing processes
  • Ensure material/component specifications exist and are accurate for all parts


  • Hire, train, and monitor QC tech to assist in process and quality improvement


  • Work closely with customers and suppliers to resolve quality opportunities and drive improvements.


  • Develop plant/product specific employee training to build quality awareness.


  • Participate in interplant, cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical problems and customer issues.


  • Participate in Corporate Quality Audits and Third-party audits by NAMI, AMMA, NFRC


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience
  • Six Sigma certification preferred.
  • The successful candidate will have at least 5+ years of manufacturing experience and at least 2 years of quality experience.
  • Enthusiastic about the value quality brings to the manufacturing process and passionate about keeping technical skills up to date, understanding best practices, and deploying quality systems to achieve goals and targets.
  • Displays a strong ability to use data to rationally analyze and solve issues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to train and develop staff.
  • Proven ability to drive Quality, performance, and cultural transformations.
  • Thorough understanding of quality standards and methodologies.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours, weekends, or across shifts as business needs require.
