Position Summary: The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible with developing and maintaining a quality system to assure that all manufactured products meet customer specifications and achieve superior quality and reliability levels. Investigates and evaluated facts and data to provide the plant with feedback on current and new product performance.
Responsibilities- Develops and implements a quality production program to ensure conformity of purchased materials and final products to quality standards
- Oversee the maintenance and continuous improvement of the ISO 9001 system and related quality objectives for the site
- Responsible for the review and approval of new and revised test procedures and will provide technical support to the manufacturing operations. Recommends procedures for establishing new or revised standards, inspection methods and process controls
- Establishes and implements cost-effective inspection procedures and techniques consistent with company and customer requirements. Implements quality awareness programs and develops systems to track and report results
- Develops and maintains written product assurance policies and procedures as required to define and ensure conformance to customer specifications and requirements
- Monitors inspection and test queues and initiates action to maintain quality objectives. Initiates cross-training and initial training programs for these test functions designed to expand and improve coverage and personnel qualifications
- Establishes effective lines of communication and feedback with manufacturing general supervisors, quality, and R&D to ensure prompt attention and resolution of conditions that adversely affect quality or throughput

- Responsible for implementing/overseeing process, production, best practice and continuous improvement efforts.
- Investigations of new methods to improve corporate performance including equipment, statistical tools, troubleshooting methods etc.
- Oversee the maintenance and improvement of the ISO effort in the plant
- Coordinates all aspects of both internal and customer complaint systems (including root cause investigation, determination of all preventative actions, follow up to ensure preventative actions are properly installed)
- Implement quality awareness programs and develops systems to track and report results
- Develops and maintains written product assurance policies and procedures as required to define and ensure conformance to customer specifications and requirements
- Actively puts safety first in all responsibilities, promoting Amcor's safety culture

What We Want From You• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Quality, Materials Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5-7+ years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment - flexible packaging, film extrusion, or converting experience strongly preferred (confirm minimum years with hiring manager).
• Demonstrated experience managing an ISO 9001 quality management system, including internal audits and external certification audits.
• Prior supervisory or people-management experience leading a QA or technical team.
• Working knowledge of root cause analysis and CAPA methodologies (8D, 5-Why, fishbone, etc.).
• Proficiency with statistical process control tools and quality/inspection systems.
• Experience investigating and resolving customer complaints in a manufacturing environment.
