Job Description:

Shift: 3rd shift 8:00pm-4:30am Monday-Friday, with OT when needed

SUMMARY

Maintains and improves our product quality standards. Oversees the quality control process, conducts inspections, performs tests, and ensures that our baked goods meet the highest levels of safety, taste, and consistency. Controls and investigates non-conforming products and product related incidents. In addition, collaborates with cross-functional teams, including production, research and development, and quality assurance, to implement quality improvement initiatives and resolve any quality-related issues that may arise.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the quality control efforts for our bakery production line, ensuring that all products meet the established quality standards and comply with food safety regulations.
  • Conduct routine inspections and tests on incoming raw materials, intermediate products, and finished goods when needed to ensure team is supported in activities related to compliance with specifications and quality parameters.
  • Monitor and enforce proper sanitation and hygiene practices within the production area to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Analyze and interpret quality data, identifying trends, patterns, and potential areas for improvement. Generate reports and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the production team to develop and implement quality control procedures and work instructions, ensuring they are followed consistently.
  • Provide guidance and training to production line staff on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
  • Investigate customer complaints or internal quality incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions to address them effectively.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in quality control and food safety. Make recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to maintain and improve the effectiveness of the overall quality management system.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of quality control activities, including inspection reports, test results, and non-conformities. Ensure compliance with record-keeping requirements.

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is between the range listed below, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position will include variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an applicant receives an offer of employment.

The pay range shown is applicable to all US locations listed within the job posting:USD 33.23 - USD 45.69
