Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Quality Assurance Manager and Leadership Team for compliance
  • Coordinate with Department Managers to implement process improvements

  • Maintain and train on Quality Manual and Operating Procedures
  • Interact with Customers on quality issues across projects
  • Lead inspections of materials, components, and finished products

  • Create and evaluate Non-Conformance reports and quality targets
  • Review inspection documents for specification compliance
  • Assist in calibrating inspection equipment and other QC items
  • Conduct internal and external Quality Assurance audits
  • Ensure proper documentation control for Inspection department

Full Job Description
Quality Assurance Lead

Key position functions include:
  • Work with the Quality Assurance Manager and Leadership Team to ensure compliance with Company procedures and policies
  • Liaise with Department Managers to ensure that process improvements are being implemented
  • Assist with Quality Assurance Management meetings
  • Maintain Quality Manual and Operating Procedures that govern specific aspects of the critical-to-quality workflow process, and ensure or provide training on the process and procedures
  • Interface with Customers to address Quality issues and concerns for all projects
  • Lead and assist in all required inspections of materials, sub-components, finished products, vendor buy-out items, and quality issues arising in production
  • Oversee material and component receivables (incoming inspection) and approve MTR documents
  • Create and review Non-Conformances, establish quality targets, and manage data pertaining to quality targets
  • Review for the approval of inspection documents, including NDE testing, as per applicable specifications
  • Assist with inspection equipment calibrations and all other QC-controlled items on the shop floor
  • Assist in maintenance and approval of work order process
  • Conduct internal Quality Assurance audits. Assist in conducting external or vendor audits of machine, welding, and heat treat shops when required
  • Assure the Inspection department documents are properly controlled and traced
  • Reinforce all applicable company policies, procedures, and safety requirements


Preferred candidates will possess a combination of the following:
  • Minimum 3+ years' experience with quality systems pertaining to the manufacturing of Valves
  • Detailed knowledge of industry codes and standards, including API, ANSI / ASME, DNV, and NACE
  • Leadership/supervisory experience combined with a high degree of professionalism
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Skilled use of PC software tools, including Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Commitment to quality and workplace health & safety above all else

Education Requirements
  • A Quality Assurance Degree is preferred, or a High School Graduate with 3 + years of Valve Manufacturing Experience focused on Quality Assurance in Lieu of College Degree
