Quality Assurance Lead Onsite
Description: Diversified Systems is searching for a Quality Assurance Lead to plan, coordinate, govern, and report end-to-end testing efforts for enterprise applications and integrations. This role serves as the bridge between business requirements and technical validation, providing leadership for testing teams, ensuring measurable requirements traceability, and delivering clear release-readiness assessments to management.
The QA Lead must be capable of supervising testers, developing testing strategies, managing quality processes, and reviewing or writing automation code when needed.
Responsibilities: - Test Leadership and Governance
- ct as Test Lead for assigned programs, releases, modules, and production-readiness efforts.
- Develop the overall test strategy, scope, entry and exit criteria, estimates, schedules, dependencies, and execution plans.
- ssign and supervise testing work, review test artifacts, mentor testers, and enforce QA standards.
- Coordinate with Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, Project Managers, DevOps teams, DBAs, and business stakeholders.
- Requirements Analysis and Coverage
- Review Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirements (FRs), user stories, acceptance criteria, workflow diagrams, interface specifications, data mappings, and API specifications.
- Identify missing, ambiguous, conflicting, or untestable requirements before execution begins.
- Translate requirements into Test Scenarios, Test Cases, test data, preconditions, expected results, and automation candidates.
- Drive complete and measurable traceability from requirements through executed tests and defects.
- Azure DevOps Test Plans
- Create and maintain Test Plans, Test Suites, Test Cases, configurations, test runs, evidence, and defect links within Azure DevOps.
- Establish consistent work-item relationships among BRDs, Functional Requirements, Test Scenarios, Test Cases, executions, defects, retests, and closure activities.
- Utilize Azure DevOps queries and dashboards to communicate progress, blockers, defects, coverage, and release readiness.
- Test Design and Execution
- Create and review Positive, Negative, Boundary Value, Equivalence Partitioning, Decision Table, State Transition, Role/Authorization, Data-Driven, and Risk-Based test scenarios.
- Coordinate and participate in Smoke, Functional, API, Integration, System, Regression, End-to-End, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Performance-support, Database, and Data Pipeline testing.
- Ensure failures are reproducible, evidence is complete, and test results are defensible.
- Defect and Release Management
- Lead or participate in defect triage and severity and priority discussions.
- Ensure defects contain environment and build information, reproducible steps, expected and actual results, evidence, and requirement-to-test traceability links.
- Provide evidence-based release recommendations and communicate residual quality risks clearly to stakeholders.
Requirements: - 7 years of QA and testing experience within enterprise software environments required.
- 2 years of experience serving as a QA Lead, Test Lead, or in a senior QA role with formal leadership responsibilities required.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Playwright or Selenium automation required.
- Strong experience with Business Requirements Document (BRD) analysis, Functional Requirements analysis, Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) design, requirements traceability, and coverage management required.
- Strong API testing experience required.
- Strong SQL and database validation experience required.
- Experience supervising testers, reviewing test artifacts, leading defect triage activities, and reporting to management required.
- Experience with Git, code review processes, CI/CD pipelines, and modern software delivery practices required.
- Experience with data pipeline and ETL validation required.
Highly Desired Skills: - Playwright and TypeScript framework design experience highly desired.
- Experience migrating automation frameworks from Selenium to Playwright highly desired.
- Experience creating reusable fixtures, Page Objects, API clients, test-data factories, and custom reporting highly desired.
- Performance testing experience and the ability to coordinate specialized performance and security testing highly desired.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience highly desired.
