Full Job Description
Overview

TRC is currently seeking an experienced Environmental Quality Assurance Chemist to support our Environmental Engineering, Consulting & Remediation (ECR) Practice managed from our Lowell, MA headquarters.

This position offers a flexible work arrangement potential for candidates within the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Perform data validation or data usability assessments for a variety of laboratory analytical methods under different state and federal regulatory programs.
  • Review laboratory/chemistry reports to ensure no errors in calculations or findings, reviewing for technical accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain records and documentation of all laboratory analysis and tests.
  • Analyze environmental data and prepare reports.
  • Assist in the preparation of project plans, such as quality assurance project plans, sampling analysis plans, etc.
  • Assist in preparation and perform quality control reviews of data tables and figures in support of project reporting.
  • Support field staff and project managers in the coordination with analytical laboratories.
  • Work in a team setting and complete assigned responsibilities within set schedules and budgets.

Qualifications

  • A BS degree in Chemistry or related science.
  • 5-8 years of experience in validating data according to EPA National Functional Guidelines.
  • 5-8 years of experience with evaluating environmental field data and laboratory quality control principles and how they relate to environmental sampling and analytical procedures.
  • Previous Environmental consulting experience with data and laboratory quality control is preferred.
  • Experience in reviewing data from high resolution GC/MS techniques for dioxin/furans and/or PCB congeners or other non-routine analysis such as PFAS by EPA Methods.
  • Detail-oriented, ability to multi-task and work efficiently under deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills, able to convey technical concepts to individuals without a chemistry background
  • Proficiency in Basic MS Word MS Excel, and Adobe Acrobat. Prefer candidates with excel experience and database knowledge.

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.

Salary Range

USD $79,456.00 - USD $106,080.00 /Yr.
