About the RoleThe Quality Assurance Analyst II is an integral part of Latham's Technology & Information Services team. This role will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of accuracy and reliability regarding internally developed applications, as well as analyzing software requirements and documentation to create comprehensive testing artifacts and applying appropriate testing techniques in a timely manner. This role will be located in our Global Services Office in Downtown Los Angeles. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.
Responsibilities & QualificationsOther key responsibilities include:
- Creating and effectively executing test planning, manual test case authoring, scripting of automated tests, test execution, defect management, testing metrics and reporting, and other quality artifacts on projects and deliverables
- Identifying, investigating, and thoroughly documenting software defects and non-conforming software and performing comprehensive regression tests when defects have been resolved
- Providing prioritized issues list to management
- Participating in project reviews, risk assessments, retrospectives, sprint and backlog grooming sessions, and test case reviews
- Keeping abreast of industry test tools and QA skills, testing approaches, firm technology systems and applications, and technologies to proactively and continually contribute to improving the processes and quality of the firm's systems
- Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains
We'd love to hear from you if you:
- Possess strong analytical skills needed for all primary duties, including comprehending and communicating complex concepts
- Display strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
- Demonstrate the ability to compose comprehensive test plans and cases
And have:
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent in technology or a related field required
- Quality Assurance certifications, preferably
- A minimum of three (3) years of advanced Quality Assurance experience
