Job Title:

QC Due Diligence Compliance Analyst

Location:

CA - Westlake Village

What you'll do:

As a Quality Control Compliance Analyst, you'll be responsible for auditing the documentation for loans funded and/or purchased by AmeriHome for compliance with Federal, State, County, and/or City regulatory requirements to ensure they meet Federal/State examiner requirements as well as investor quality standards. You'll need to meet various deadlines for Retail Compliance audits, as well as Due Diligence Trade activity.
  • Review the validity of defects cited by third party diligence firms to ensure loans meet investor quality standards.
  • Monitor diligence pipelines to ensure the timely remediation of open defects.
  • Conduct reviews of AmeriHome loans for State and Federal compliance, including but not limited to; TILA, RESPA, TRID, and ECOA. Assure that results provided by investors revealing a pattern of deficiencies are accurately reported to management.
  • Participate in remediation of identified defects with Operations and/or Correspondent Seller. Monitor the progress of implementation of action plans based on Quality Control Findings and results.
  • Communicate any identified defects effectively to internal and external counterparties. Assist other team personnel in interpreting compliance defects cited by external sources and preparing appeals or rebuttals.

What you'll need:

  • 3+ years of related experience in Mortgage Regulatory Compliance, Mortgage Quality Control or similar field.
  • High school diploma required; Some college or technical training preferred.
  • Intermediate knowledge of residential mortgage industry in Correspondent or Retail Lending, including sales, operations, capital markets and/or other residential mortgage products and services.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
  • Intermediate knowledge of FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, USDA and VA guidelines.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Federal Regulatory guidelines and procedures, including but not limited to TILA, TRID, RESPA, HPA, UDAAP, ECOA, FCRA.
  • Advanced speaking and writing communication skills.
  • Certified Mortgage Compliance Professional preferred.
  • Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) preferred.

Compensation: Hourly range for new hires is generally $40.45 for Westlake Village, CA. Salary amount is determined by specific job location. In addition, the role may be eligible for annual bonus/incentives earned.
