ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

EVC seeks a QC Coordinator to support our voter registration quality control systems in order to maximize civic engagements in communities of color. This role is ideal for someone with deep attention to detail, strong organization, experience in quality control or voter registration, and excellent communication skills with a variety of partners and communities, including technical and non-technical individuals. Experience supporting data and technology systems that connect with traditionally underrepresented communities is highly valued, and a premium is placed on a practical problem solving approach on tight timelines. The QC Coordinator will report to the Director of Applied Quality Control.

WHAT YOU WILL DO IN YOUR ROLE

Execute day-to-day quality control processes

  • Communicating with partners about QC processes
    • Approving or rejecting quality control flags prior to them being sent on to groups
    • Performing weekly data analysis of quality control data for groups in area of support
  • Creating performance reviews for VR canvassers as necessary


Facilitate partner quality control support

  • Supporting partners in accessing voter registration data and doing QC investigations
  • Providing weekly reporting about form quality to partners
  • Supporting QC staff to improve QC accuracy


Conduct QC Trainings and Support

  • Train new partners on flag resolution, form quality, and performance review standards
  • Conduct ongoing office hours to support quality control processes
  • Collect and pass on feedback from partners about quality control processes

Requirements for this Role:

  • Strong skills and experience communicating technical and statistical concepts to non-technical audiences, both in writing and verbally
  • Experience working in an environment with multiple stakeholder relationships, as a member of a diverse, multidisciplinary team
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to independently hit deadlines, excellent organizational skills
  • 15% Travel Required: The role involves extensive travel, comprising 20% of the working time, to attend site visits, partner kickoffs, staff events, and to provide book closing supports


Helpful but not required:

  • Previous experience working in the fields of progressive organizing, civic engagement, or voting rights
  • Previous experience canvassing or with field management
  • Previous experience using progressive data platforms (such as Civis Platform)
  • Previous experience working with Politech, Catalist, VAN, or other individual-level data used to target and implement civic engagement programs.


With consideration for the fact that workloads evolve over time and that not all work related to this role is foreseeable, this role is responsible for other duties as assigned.

Performance Metrics & Review Schedule

Your first review will be 90 days after your start date, then a six-month check-in and a

development review annually for the duration of your employment. If the results of a

reviews are unsatisfactory, more frequent reviews may be scheduled to monitor improvements. If assigned improvement goals are not reached, a warning schedule may be implemented including the possibility of termination.

Salary Range: $75,000 - $88,000
