Job Summary

We are seeking a QA Software Automation Tester with strong functional testing expertise and experience supporting Health and Human Services (HHS) systems. This role is responsible for validating the quality, functionality, and reliability of enterprise applications through comprehensive testing activities, including functional, regression, integration, data validation, and automation testing. The ideal candidate will have experience testing Integrated Eligibility (IE) systems and public assistance programs while collaborating closely with business and technical teams to ensure successful solution delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review business requirements, functional specifications, and system documentation to identify test objectives and testing requirements.
  • Design, develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test scenarios.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing for web-based applications.
  • Validate Integrated Eligibility (IE) business rules and workflows supporting public assistance programs.
  • Test Health and Human Services (HHS) applications and related business processes.
  • Execute testing for batch processes, interfaces, reports, security roles, data conversions, and system integrations.
  • Validate data exchanges through flat files, SOAP-based services, and other integration mechanisms.
  • Perform security role testing, including coarse-grained and fine-grained access validation.
  • Develop and execute SQL queries to validate database results, data integrity, and application functionality.
  • Identify, document, track, and validate software defects and inconsistencies against business and technical requirements.
  • Support testing activities associated with modernization and replacement of legacy systems.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, developers, project teams, and stakeholders to gather information, communicate findings, and resolve issues.
  • Participate in defect triage, root cause analysis, and issue resolution activities.
  • Support multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality standards and delivery timelines.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes, methodologies, and quality assurance practices.
  • Assist with test automation initiatives where applicable.
