Full Job Description
Role Purpose
The QA/QC, Receiving and Shipping Supervisor is responsible for quality oversight across the production workflow, accurate processing of inbound materials, and accurate, well-documented outbound shipments, ensuring traceability, conformance to specifications, and smooth coordination between Purchasing, Production, and Shipping.
QA/QC Coverage
  • Ensure incoming materials, in-process items, and finished parts meet specifications; maintain traceability and drive continuous improvement
  • Monitor processes (machining, cutting, bending, punching, forming) and document non-conformances; verify corrective actions
  • Approve or reject finished parts; ensure proper labeling and documentation accompany each part number
  • Maintain inspection reports and records
  • Perform root cause analysis on non-conformances and verify effectiveness of corrective actions
Receiving Duties
  • Manage receipt of raw materials, components, and packaging; stage materials for inspection and put-away
  • Unpack incoming shipments, inspect packaging integrity, compare against PO/packing list, and log quantities
  • Review supplier documentation; escalate non-conformances to Purchasing
Shipping Duties
  • Verify outbound order details against packing lists and customer requirements; confirm quantities and part numbers
  • Ensure correct items are picked, properly packed, and labeled with part numbers, lot codes, and required documentation
  • Prepare packing slips, bills of lading (where applicable), and certificates of conformity; schedule carrier pickups and track shipments
  • Confirm product quality before shipment when required; capture any last-minute non-conformances
  • Maintain shipping records
  • Report shipping damage or mispicks; resolve and document outcomes with QA/QC and Receiving
General
  • Oversee quality, shipping, and receiving
  • Use email to share end-of-day reports
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications
  • 1-3 years in QA/QC or manufacturing, with exposure to receiving and shipping in a warehouse setting preferred
  • Proficiency with inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, surface plates) and reading drawings/blueprints
  • Proficiency maintaining inspection and shipping records
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and time management
  • Strong communication skills; ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Proactive problem-solving mindset and teamwork orientation
  • Proficient in Office 365 products (primarily Outlook, Word, and Excel)

Safety Requirements
  • Wear required PPE at all times (Self-provided: Safety toe boots | Company-provided: High-visibility vest, gloves, safety glasses, and hearing protection)
  • Commitment to safety policies; forklift/high-lift equipment awareness as applicable
  • Use proper lifting techniques or request assistance for heavy or oversized materials
  • Ensure aisles, staging areas, and inspection zones are clear of obstructions and debris
  • Be aware of sharp edges; handle all steel with caution

Compensation Package:
  • Pay rate ($68,000-105,000)
