Full Job Description
We are currently recruiting for a QA/QC Engineer to join our Structural Technologies/VSL team in our office in Pompano Beach, FL. As a QA/QC Engineer, you will be involved in quality control of shop drawings in addition to providing technical support for the detailing, installation and repair of various post-tension systems. You will work closely with our detailing, coordination, shop, and estimating teams. You will be expected to maintain current knowledge with the latest developments in post-tension design and construction by reviewing technical publications, attending technical conferences or professional society meetings, and discussions with industry representatives. You may be expected to attend client meetings and site visits for inspections, repairs, and coordination. Candidates who meet the following criteria may be considered for this position: - Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Candidates with a Master's degree in Engineering may be given preference) - 3-5 years of experience in post-tension detailing, design, and/or engineering required. - Good understanding of relevant PTI and ACI codes - Demonstrated knowledge of reinforced concrete design, steel design, concepts, mechanics of materials, and cast-in-place concrete construction practice. - Experience in the evaluation, assessment and repair of post-tensioned systems. - High attention to detail as well as ability to prioritize work on several projects simultaneiously. - Florida PE licensure (or ability to obtain in a short time) will be given preference.
