Full Job Description
The Engineering Team Lead, QA/QC is responsible for creating complete project QA/QC plans, resourcing plans, and QA/QC budgets / proposals based on a clear understanding of the owner, facility and equipment design requirements. Plans include sequenced activities, schedules, and documents, as well as conducting on- site/job site training, coaching, and auditing of job site QA/QC activities. Understanding and experience in data center construction is a requirement and ideally have the ability to understand one-lines, schematics & drawings and have knowledge of electrical terminology and components. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Bachelor of Science Electrical Engineering Technology Degree Experience: 8 years of related experience. Experience working with Hyperscale data center construction, electrical construction, and/or managing of small teams preferred. or Education: Associate of Science in Electrical Engineering or Bachelor of Science Electrical Engineering Technology Degree Experience: 12 years of related experience. Experience working with Hyperscale data center construction, electrical construction, and/or managing of small teams preferred. Travel: 0-30% Work Schedule: Typical work hours are between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday - Friday. However, work may be performed at any time on any day of the week to meet business needs. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 3 Develops and improves QA/QC processes, systems, and standard documents that interface with Estimating, Engineering, BIM, Detailing, Prefabrication, and Construction processes and activities. 3 Becomes well versed in the quality requirements, quality expectations, and specifications for specific strategic clients and projects. 3 Provides guidance to project managers, the Director of Quality and Commissioning, and the Field Operations Leader on strategic client specific quality requirements. 3 Supports project engineers and project teams with timelines and client/project specific requirements. 3 Creates relational data sets such as equipment list, equipment group, feeders, feeder schedule and commissioning class from project construction drawings, electrical specifications and submittals. 3 Outlines, guides, and mentors team of engineers. 3 Ensures that detailed procedures, checklists and QA/QC plans are accurate and appropriate for the task. 3 Designs new QA/QC programs by analyzing requirements, constructing workflow charts and diagrams, to evaluate output requirements and formats. 3 Provides guidance to office and field teams to ensure construction activities comply with specifications, codes, and customer requirements. 3 Provides development needs for other QA/QC team members. 3 Develops written QA/QC Work Scope and Estimates in accordance with RFP's. 3 Leads the development of systems, strategies and plans to achieve project QA/QC requirements. 3 Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
