Job Summary
Seeking a QA Engineer to own the end-to-end test strategy for a major UI modernization of an enterprise healthcare identity and access management portal. The role will focus on auditing the existing test suite, developing a migration plan, migrating unit tests to a new test runner, and creating Cypress test specifications for application surfaces as they are delivered. The QA Engineer will serve as the quality gate for sprint releases and must have strong experience testing CIAM and authentication flows.

Key Responsibilities
Audit existing Cypress E2E and unit test suites, categorize and prioritize migration work, and deliver a written migration plan early in the engagement.
Migrate unit tests from Jest to Vitest while maintaining existing test coverage.
Write Cypress test specifications for authentication flows, navigation shells, role-based access, keyboard accessibility, data table interactions, and multi-step wizard flows.
Test ForgeRock journey flows end-to-end, including login, MFA, email and phone validation, password updates, session expiration, and logout.
Run automated accessibility audits on major application routes using axe-core and enforce zero critical or high-severity violations as a sprint exit criterion.
Set up and track Lighthouse CI performance and accessibility scores throughout the engagement.
Execute cross-browser testing using BrowserStack and triage and document identified failures.
Validate deployments across AWS EKS environments, including development, sandbox, and UAT.
File and track defects with clear reproduction steps and appropriate severity classification.
Verify defect fixes before closing issues.
Maintain test documentation and ensure adequate test coverage across application functionality and user journeys.
Develop and maintain test strategies and support QA activities throughout the UI modernization initiative.

Required Qualifications
Strong Cypress E2E experience authoring, maintaining, and refactoring test suites for React applications.
Experience with unit testing using Jest or Vitest and React Testing Library.
Proficiency in JavaScript and/or TypeScript for test automation.
Experience with automated accessibility testing using axe-core and manual WCAG 2.1 AA validation.
Experience with Lighthouse CI and/or Web Vitals monitoring.
Experience with cross-browser testing using BrowserStack or equivalent tools.
Experience with structured defect management, including clear reproduction steps and severity classification.
Experience testing OAuth2/OIDC authentication flows, including token lifecycle, session handling, MFA, and logout scenarios.
Experience testing CIAM authentication flows, including login, MFA, session management, and logout.
Familiarity with ForgeRock or comparable identity platforms, including testing login journeys, password reset, and identity verification flows.
Experience validating deployments across Kubernetes and AWS EKS environments, including development, sandbox, and UAT environments.
Experience creating test strategies, migration plans, and test coverage audits.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience migrating unit tests from Jest to Vitest.
 ForgeRock-specific test automation experience.
Healthcare or regulated industry QA experience.
Awareness of healthcare privacy and security requirements, including HIPAA.
