We are currently seeking a QA Automation Engineer to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina (US-NC), United States (US).

QA Automation Engineer - Brokerage or Financial Services environment is a must
Day to Day Job Duties:
  • Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test frameworks for web applications, APIs, and distributed microservices using Selenium and/or Playwright with Java and Python.
  • Develop and execute UI automation tests using Playwright and Selenium for web-based brokerage and financial services applications.
  • Develop and execute API automation tests for REST and SOAP services using REST Assured, Postman, or Karate.
  • Validate serverless applications and event-driven workflows built on AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, Step Functions, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, S3, and EventBridge.
  • Perform end-to-end testing across distributed microservices, asynchronous messaging systems, and enterprise integrations.
  • Validate API Gateway implementations, RESTful APIs, and contract-first API development using OpenAPI/Swagger specifications.
  • Test authentication and authorization mechanisms including OAuth2, JWT, API Keys, and other security protocols.
  • Validate event-driven architectures using Kafka or similar messaging platforms and ensure accurate data flow across services and downstream systems.
  • Analyze CloudWatch logs and monitoring tools to troubleshoot distributed applications, identify root causes, and support issue resolution.
  • Perform integration testing involving upstream systems, downstream applications, third-party vendors, and external consumers.
  • Develop reusable, scalable, and data-driven automation frameworks using Selenium and Playwright that support continuous testing.
  • Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous integration and continuous delivery.
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, DevOps, and product teams to ensure high-quality software delivery in Agile environments.
  • Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, code reviews, defect triage, and release activities.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5+ years of hands-on QA Automation experience, preferably within a brokerage or financial services environment.
  • Minimum 5+ years of Strong brokerage domain knowledge is required; retirement and investment domain experience is highly preferred.
  • AWS Certification with hands-on cloud experience is required.
  • Minimum 5+ years of Hands-on experience with AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, Step Functions, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, S3, and EventBridge.
  • Minimum 5+ years of Experience validating serverless workflows and event-driven architectures in AWS.
  • Minimum 5+ years of Strong experience troubleshooting distributed applications using CloudWatch logs and monitoring tools.
  • Minimum 3+ years of automation programming experience using Java and Python.
  • Minimum 5+ years of Hands-on experience developing and maintaining automation frameworks using Selenium and/or Playwright.
  • Minimum 3+ years of Hands-on experience developing, maintaining, and executing Playwright automation frameworks for modern web applications.
  • Minimum 5+ years of Strong experience with API automation testing (REST/SOAP) using REST Assured, Postman, Karate, or similar tools.
  • Minimum 5+ years of Strong understanding of HTTP methods, REST principles, request/response lifecycle, headers, cookies, rate limiting*** and HTTP status codes.
  • Minimum 5+ years of Experience working with OpenAPI/Swagger specifications and contract-first API development.
  • Minimum 5+ years of Experience testing distributed microservices, complex enterprise integrations, and asynchronous messaging platforms such as Kafka.
  • Minimum 5+ years of Experience validating end-to-end data flow across APIs, messaging queues, microservices, and downstream systems.
  • Minimum 5+ years of Experience testing API Gateway solutions such as AWS API Gateway or Kong.
  • Strong understanding of authentication and authorization mechanisms including OAuth2, JWT, API Keys, and related security standards.
  • Minimum 5+ years of Experience integrating automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and root cause analysis skills across APIs, middleware, cloud services, and distributed systems.
  • Ability to analyze application logs and trace requests across multiple services.
  • Minimum 5+ years of Experience working independently, managing multiple priorities, and delivering tasks within project timelines.
  • Minimum 5+ years of Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments with cross-functional teams.
Degree:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.

NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for U.S.-based positions. The starting pay range for this role is $60-$71.11/hour. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate's relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.
