Job Summary
We are seeking a Python ETL Developer to support the Enterprise Data Management (EDM) team in sourcing data to the cloud platform. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Python data processing, ETL/ELT development, SQL, and large datasets. The role will involve sourcing data from internal and external sources, supporting existing processes, working with end users to understand requirements, and providing production support.
Key Responsibilities
• Use Python to perform ETL/ELT development and data processing activities in the Finance space.
• Develop and implement robust ETL/ELT processes to efficiently extract, load, and transform data from various sources into the cloud platform.
• Source data from internal and external systems and support existing data processes.
• Work with end users to understand and analyze business and data requirements.
• Apply analytical skills to understand business processes and translate them into data and process models.
• Document data models, process models, requirements, and related technical documentation.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and enhance existing applications and data processes.
• Provide quality production support and resolve data-related issues.
• Collaborate with an international team and effectively manage multiple workload assignments.
Required Qualifications
• 8+ years of experience in Python ETL development.
• 8+ years of experience working with Data Management systems, with a strong focus on Python-based solutions.
• Strong proficiency in Python scripting and experience working with large datasets in Python.
• Strong experience with Python data processing libraries.
• Strong SQL experience and proficiency in SQL-based data management.
• Experience developing and implementing robust ETL/ELT processes for data extraction, loading, and transformation.
• Experience sourcing data from various internal and external sources into cloud-based platforms.
• Experience with reference Data Management systems.
• Knowledge of Power BI reporting.
• Strong conceptual, analytical, problem-solving, and judgment skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to interact effectively with clients and provide production support.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple assignments, and collaborate effectively as part of an international team.
• Fluency in spoken and written English.
Preferred Qualifications
• Knowledge of Dremio.
• Experience working in the Finance data domain.
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms and data sourcing solutions.
Location / Work Arrangement
• Hybrid onsite: 4 days per week from Day 1, with a full transition to 100% onsite anticipated soon.
