Full Job Description
Our technology team is seeking talented engineers who are interested in building and supporting globally distributed trading and research systems. You will collaborate with software, hardware, and systems engineers to build and optimize tools that will improve the efficiency and operations of our systems. Strong Python and CI/CD skills are a must, as is a keen eye for automation. Given our growth and expansion plans, there is tremendous opportunity for contribution and expansion of your skills in this role. In this role, you will be responsible for:
  • Designing and implementing automated Continuous Integration/Continuous Design (CI/CD) tools, including Kubernetes
  • Benchmarking and tuning critical software services to achieve optimum performance internally and at all the venues we connect to around the globe
  • Building systems to monitor real-time production trading systems
  • Collaborating with trading and research teams to deploy and support mission critical systems
  • Working with and administering high performance database instances
  • Working with Google Cloud Compute platform to facilitate researcher use cases

If you possess the following, we would love to explore what is available for you with our team:
  • 3+ years experience supporting large-scale, distributed systems, preferably in a cloud computing environment
  • Knowledge of GCP IAM permission and user management
  • Experience using terraform to manage and tag resources
  • Prior exposure to kubernetes cluster and application management
  • Familiar with techniques on managing fleets of VMs, including metrics collection, alert configuration, and log ingestion policies
  • Experience supporting and building high-quality tools for backup, deployment, testing via automation
  • Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Design support & technology integration, management, etc.
  • Performance tuning/optimization of systems/software
  • Strong experience with Python Development in a Linux environment, with an emphasis on automation
  • SQL, Shell and Bash scripting skills
  • Experience in developing developer tools or CLIs
  • Knowledge of streaming processes or Kafka
  • Previous experience in working with relational and columnary databases
  • Previous experience in financial/exchange protocols is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

The base salary range for this role is between $125,000 and $250,000. The base salary range does not include any other form of compensation, such as any bonus amounts, or any benefits. Factors that may impact the agreed upon base salary within the range for a particular candidate include years of experience, level of education obtained, skill set, and other factors.
