Full Job Description
Title: Purchasing Manager

Reports to: Purchasing Sr. Manager

Location: Holland, MI

Summary:

In this role, you will manage purchasing team members and organize and assign the tasks. You will source and select global-level suppliers and maximizing investment efficiency, in order to improve the business competitiveness. Your purchasing team includes raw material and custom process - team is MRO - material repair operations/Construction material/ economic reports. You will act as a liaison between US and Korea and responsible for translation between the two teams for purchasing documents and materials ordered.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide weekly/monthly/annual reports to leadership and headquarters
  • Analyze and maintain open dialogue on purchasing projections from different vendors
  • Review supplier requests for payment status, invoice information, data, budget checks and follow-up for proper process methodology
  • Communicate feedback received regarding purchasing/process to headquarters and team
  • Understand changes to policies from headquarters and communicate to purchasing team
  • Responsible for standardizing system, managing process improvement between headquarters, Poland, and China (different locations) and other places making sure they are followed in US
  • Analyze new project contracts assessing risk management, documenting changes, document management and ensure registration in system
  • Work with legal team to ensure contracts are approved
  • Develop KPIs on yearly basis - following up monthly to ensure meet - CI rate - negotiation rate from supplier / PO issued - set target and then follow up- target rate based on global set from headquarters
  • Check dates and closing dates and ensure meet on time delivery on all PO's.
  • Collect previous month's reports and categorize what is purchased, sharing with team members and report to headquarters
  • Evaluate suppliers by category on an annual basis - MRO/Construction/economic reports and forward to headquarters
  • Conduct thorough and timely Layered Process Audits in appropriate work areas
  • Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards:
    1. Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain
    2. Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Qualifications:
